Frequently Asked Questions about the Sauna
1) How is the Thermal LifeŽ hypoallergenic poplar sauna different from
other far infrared saunas?
1.) Dual digital controls on inside and outside of unit allow full control of sauna temperature and session
duration. Temperature can be set in increments of one degree. Session duration can be set in increments of one minute. Controls
also feature a timer allowing delayed activation of heaters. 2.) Constructed entirely out of the finest hypoallergenic
solid poplar wood, with non-toxic water-based glues, using tongue and groove joints, with lexan windows that do not out-gas. 3.)
State-of-the-art far infrared heaters radiate rays in a complete 360-degree radius with a reflector located behind every heater
to reflect and intensify the FIR rays into the sauna. 4.) Units come with the finest ventilation system. The built-in fan
(an exclusive feature from Thermal Life ™) is used to exhaust some heat but more importantly, draw fresh air in from
the outside. This is an important feature because the oxygen content in the air in competitors closed-in saunas diminishes
very quickly. The saunas also have a vent located in the roof panel, and the lexan, non-toxic window can be opened. 5.)
Speakers included with every unit for easy connection to your existing stereo. 6.) Uses less electricity than your household
hairdryer and plugs into your standard 110-volt outlet (4-person unit uses 220V). 7.) Comes ready to assemble and takes
only 20 minutes to put together. No tools required. 8.) 30-day unconditional money-back guarantee. 9.) Lifetime warranty
on all components. 10.) More health practitioners recommend the Thermal LifeŽ far infrared poplar sauna than any
other sauna.
2) Does the sauna have constant emitting heaters?
Yes, the heaters continuously emit IR, but the power level will fluctuate to maintain the heat at the setting
controlled by our custom control unit. Our control unit allows the sauna temperature to be set in 1 degree increments.
‘Constant
emitting heaters’ is frequently a sales gimmick used by unscrupulous salesmen for saunas with limited, imprecise heat
settings (such as low, medium, and high). The low setting on one of these saunas can run anywhere from 100 F to 130F. For
safe detoxification, it is essential to not move to too high of a temperature too fast. Our temperature controls allow you
to have the exact temperature for your phase of detoxification.
3) Is the Thermal Life Ž Far Infrared Sauna effective at detoxifying mercury
and other heavy metals?
Absolutely! In fact, no other sauna, of any kind, has been proven to be more effective at detoxifying mercury,
lead, aluminum, beryllium, arsenic, pesticides, fungicides, etc.
4) What temperature, and for how long should I stay in the sauna? How often
should I use the sauna?
It is best to start slowly to build your heat acclimatization and to not stress your system as toxins mobilize.
Begin
using the sauna at a low temperature setting (100 F / 37 C) with the door open and for 5 minutes. (You may enter the sauna
as soon as the temperature is comfortable for your mode of dress). Although the temperature will not reach 100 degrees F (37
C) when the door is open, you will still be enjoying the benefit of the far infrared rays.
Start the second session
with the door closed at 100 degrees (37 C). During future sessions, increase your time 3-5 minutes and temperature in increments
of 1-3 degrees, as tolerated.
We recommend working up to using the sauna at 125-130 degrees (51 – 54 C) for 30
minutes everyday, but it is best to consult your doctor if you are under a doctor’s care. And like cardiovascular training,
you can lose your heat acclimatization if you stop using the sauna for 2-3 weeks.
We suggest never using the sauna
over 130 degrees.
5) What are the electrical requirements of my sauna?
The two-person sauna runs from a standard 110-volt/15 amp outlet. It needs 13.8 amps so there cannot be other
appliances plugged into the same circuit. The three-person sauna runs on 110-volts but requires 16.7 amps so it will require
a 20 amp dedicated circuit.
The four-person sauna needs a 220-volt outlet and draws 9.4 amps.
6) How is the sauna shipped?
High Tech Health saunas are shipped by truck. You will be called by the trucking company prior to delivery to
determine a mutually convenient time. Each sauna arrives in two large boxes delivered to your driveway. Someone needs to be
present to accept and sign for the package.
For ease of movement, we recommend opening the boxes where they are delivered
and carrying each panel separately to the installation location for assembly.
